Early Life

Irene B. Noah was born into a loving family, where she spent her childhood surrounded by her parents, Harold and Alice Gannon, and her siblings Henry, Arthur, Joseph, Isabel, Elthia, and Emily. From a young age, Irene exhibited a strong sense of family and community, values that she carried with her throughout her life.

Personal Life

Grandma was predeceased by husbands Tony Medina, Delmer Steiner, and Commie Noah. She is survived by her children Joseph (Judy) Medina, Delmer (Laura) Steiner Jr., Lisa (Michael) Williams, Pearl Cappadonia (Mike Demunn), and Alice (James) Gurgel. As well as many grand children and great-grandchildren. Which, is where we fall in. My wife Tammy is her granddaughter, and our children Jeremy, Cade, Dorian, Celeste and Serenity are of course her great-grandchildren. Not having had the opportunity to have my own grandparents in my life growing up, and having known Irene since I was a small child, she was also just as much a grandmother to me as if I had been blood family.

Grandma's love for butterflies, playing euchre, visiting the casino, and traveling with her family are fondly remembered by all who knew her. But, what I will miss most are her potato salad and her general concern for whether or not there would be enough potatoes. On more than one occasion she said to me "Are you sure you have enough potatoes? I'll bring more" after I had already told her that I had 20lbs. of potatoes on hand. These memories and many more are among those that will always stay in our hearts. Grandma always had a knack for bringing joy and laughter into our lives.

Professional Life

Grandma dedicated many years of her life to working at Kraft Foods, where she was known for her hard work and dedication. Her colleagues respected her for her commitment and positive attitude. After retiring from Kraft Foods, Grandma continued to give back to her community by becoming a senior companion. In this role, she provided care and companionship to those in need, demonstrating her unwavering compassion and kindness. One of her closest bonds during this time was with a man named Patrick Gonyea and I know that Grandma was deeply saddened by his passing. She even took some time to visit with my father Orlo DeMun when he found himself in a nursing facility during the final year of his life.

Legacy

Grandma's legacy is one of love, generosity, and resilience. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her steadfast support of her family, and her willingness to help others.

All who knew Grandma would be able to share stories of her kindness and the impact she had on their lives. Friends and family recall her infectious laughter, her thoughtful advice, and the countless times she offered a helping hand. Irene's life was a testament to the power of love and community, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Looking Forward

As we say goodbye to Irene, we take comfort in the many wonderful memories we have of her. She lived a life full of love and generosity, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her spirit will live on in the stories we share, the traditions we uphold, and the love we give to one another.

We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Irene's life at her memorial service. Let us come together to honor her memory, share our stories, and find solace in the legacy she leaves behind.
